About us

JazzBridge Music was created in 1999 by pianist, keyboardist, producer and studio engineer, Tom Schuman with his wife, Yvonne to mostly showcase Tom's music. Yvonne suggested creating a "record company" to avoid the frustrating and disappointing task of shopping for other labels to represent Tom and his music properly. The industry has changed so much in the past 20 years... record labels are no longer required to get your music out there and heard by the world. So JazzBridge has become more of a musical mission than a business! Please check out our new updated website and as always, enjoy the many fruits of Tom and Yvonne's labor of love.

Tom Schuman's latest collaboration with vocalist Angela Workman, "Love" is a beautifully produced interpretation of the original Birthright classic. Tom appeared on the groups second LP, "Breath of Life" released in 1976. This song brings out the best in humanity and gives us hope that the more we love each other, the more our creator will smile upon us!

Born from a suggestion at a Spyro Gyra soundcheck between Tom and drummer, Lionel Cordew, this jazz fusion journey reflects the amazing influence of the great pianist and composer, Chick Corea who departed this world Feb. 9th, 2021.

Tom has always been interested in physics. This song was inspired by a term that describes the process of chaos returning to order (the opposite of entropy). Jazz music has a correlation with this concept and shows how a musician's adventurous spirit turns musical "chaos" into something more understandable to the average listener.
